Delicious meatballs are a staple in an Italian home. So what better family recipe than homemade meatballs?

This easy recipe for Italian meatballs adds in an extra step of breading the meatballs so they can double as finger foods or appetizers.

Breaded Italian meatball Ingredients

Meatball Recipe Ingredients

For our recipe for breaded Italian meatballs, we’ll use

  • 2 Eggs
  • Balsamic & Basil Vinegarette Dressing
  • Parmesan Romano
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Garlic Powder
  • Minced Garlic
  • Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 1.3 lbs of meat (Turkey meat in our example, but you can use beef if you prefer)

Time To Make The Meatballs

Step 1: Put the meat in a bowl then top with one egg, a couple of tablespoons of the vinegarette, minced garlic and garlic powder, a few teaspoons of salt and pepper and a half of a cup of parmesan and a half of a cup of bread crumbs. Then mix well with a fork until all of the ingredients are mixed throughout the meat.

Step 2: Once you have the ingredients all blended together for the Italian seasoning part of the recipe, it’s time to make the meatballs and bread them. Take small handfuls of the meat and roll them into whatever size meatballs you’d like. Personally, I like to go about golf ball sized meatballs. Once you roll the meatballs, drop them into a bowl of a egg and cover the meatball in egg wash, then drop the meatball into a bowl of Italian seasoned breadcrumbs and roll it around until completely covered. Place the breaded meatball on a baking tray sprayed with cooking spray.

Step 3: Now that we have our ingredients together as seasoned and breaded meatballs, we’re ready to cook em! Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and let the meatballs cook for 20 minutes.

Step 4: After 20 minutes, take out the meatballs and cut through one of them to make sure they are cooked through. If they are cooked to your liking, throw the meatballs on a dish and serve!
